Last post of the year

Finally, we have come to the end of year. Woow, so many happenings, ups an downs, tears and joy and guess what, I make it all through. *spotlight shines* 2011 is indeed a year of hardship but bears a fruitful outcome.

Recently, I also had dreams related to death for several times. I felt curious so I did some research in the net. It actually said that my 'death' dreams does not signify death. Means to remove or be removed from a situation, emotions or circumstances. May or may not involve the dead person. Now, that gives me a big relief. Haha.

Upon reaching the end of year, I have been doing a bit of self-reflection these past few days. I have been wondering and asking myself the things or qualities that I should keep and those that should be thrown away. And, I just realise there's one quality that I should really keep, all throughout my life.

And that is having dreams in our minds. Though how hard your dreams can be achieved, how irrelevant or ridiculous your dreams can be, keep it !

I do not know why but such dream, such aspiration, or so-called fantasy keeps us to continue and pursue the stuffs that we rarely even dream of in real life. It gives us the long-lasting spiritual energy and inspirations for us to continue sustain ourselves through hardships and challenges. Just when we are at the brink of giving up or losing ourselves, we think of those dreams we had and want to achieve, we will feel lively and continue to work hard.

One last quote by Nelson Mandela : It always seems impossible until it is done.

Til I see you again next year. =)  xx

Bii

Hello~ This is Bii posting here in Tung's blog. Actually, I manage to sneak out from my comfy bed, run upstairs and here I am. And shh, he doesn't at all and probably he's still sleeping at this hour. So, how do I get to surf the net and make a blog post here? I don't wanna tell you cause it's a secret. xD

So let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Bii or you can double it and called me BiBi. My house chores are to gnaw slippers, table legs and tissue roll. I do not know why but everytime I did my house chores, mom or Tung will definitely scold me. I am also afraid of a long brown stick in which they called it 'rotan'. They always use that stick to scare me  BUT never able able to hit me because I have rights though I am still a puppy - animal rights, okay? No abuse. But no worry, though how bad or naughty I behave, I always have tricks to tame their hearts.

Sometimes, when I am brought to mom's shop, I tell you, I get MAJOR attention from the kids and the ladies. I admit, I do feel like a celebrity though I don't give out autographs, only paws. Some of them even purposely come by the shop just to see me and praise how good looking or I am sweet I am. I know I am quite affectionate but I dislike those kids pulling my tails or squeeze my nose. Kinda disrespect in my opinion, nevertheless, I still play with them.

I go to saloon at Indah Jaya to get my hair done once in a while. And I like the way I smell after taking a warm sweet bath. I like biting fingers because they are like Choco Finger Sticks by Cadbury.

Okay, I think he is waking up! I got to sign off now! Bye!

Updates

Hello, blog. It's been a while since I post to you. And here I am again, talking to you. Guess nobody will come here and listen to both of us talking.  Haha.

My government exam is 66.66% done. I still have two more weeks to go before I officially break free into freedom. Nevertheless, time passes quickly, I  started to lose the energy and the 'umph' for I don't know why because I start to take the rest of my exams lightly. Perhaps the critical subjects are over already as next week will be only Mathematics for freaking 6 hours. I know it's hard but I will try to digest each question...

Year end is approaching and 2011 is almost over in a blink of eye. I want to celebrate Winter Solstice and Christmas with family definitely. You know, family time. And I am gonna meet some old friends and catch up with them. So yeah, just taking some time off and do some updates.

Anyway, instant noodles and Mathematics make a good combination, don't you think?

Sayings

Today, I bid the last farewell to my class. And today, I officially ended my schooling days. Bidding farewell might just seems a normal thing to do but this 'farewell' means so much to me. I also don't even know why I said so...

Mr. G taught us the final lesson today - Giving back to the community. It is utmost important for us to give back to the community. Remember Newton's Third Law? To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction. If you take, you have to give back. There are many people out there who need you to help them. When you reach to a certain stage of life, remember to give back. Don't forget yourself and don't lose the qualities of yourself.

I was called FAT !

I was in an okay mood today until a friend of mine finally break the vase and calls me fat. It literally makes me sad and very, very offended.

FAT is a mean word. Typically offensive to those people who suffer obesity or innate obese. How would you feel when you are called fat? It is as like you are being called ugly in the same way. Such mean word can really pulls down one's self-esteem. It makes us hate ourselves so much that there is no self-appreciation anymore inside ourselves.

Growing up as a teenager, I used to get that a lot. Being called fat repeatedly will definitely make us feel vulnerable. I hate it. But you know what, sometimes it is not our option to choose between 'being fat' or 'being not fat'. But we can change these opinionated perceptions. We can, at least, make ourselves feel a little more comfortable and believe in ourselves.

I don't hate the people who call me fat because they will never understand us. They criticize us and they detest us. But you know what, leave them aside because they have forgotten themselves and they will find their glory road eventually. Law of Karma will definitely hit them back. xD

Last but not least, I will leave you, people who suffer from obesity, a quotation to ponder a while. Good luck.

Maya Angelou once said " If you don't like it, change it. If you can't change it, change you attitude".

Things Around Me

I am already dizzy and vision blurred reading those thiiccck books of Chemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Chemistry... you name it.

*yawns* So it's kinda normal I take some time to watch movie do some blogging here.

Because i cannot digest this whole chunk of notes about natural/artificial selection.

I did some drawing too out of nowhere to release tension. And I know, they are ugly. Btw, my favourite sketch is the floral dress. I am imagining Selena Gomez wearing this evening floral dress. The hat is inspired by Victoria Beckham hat during the royal wedding event.

Okay, back to hell.

How to study effectively - 8 Concentration Strategies

Exams are near but how to study effectively? Here are the tricks!

Eat Frequent Small Meals
Avoid eating a big meal before a study session. Too much food will send your body into a ‘rest’ mode. On the other hand, don’t starve yourself either. Frequent small meals are best.

Study When You’re Sharpest
Study according to your body-clock. Are you sharpest in the morning or at the evening? Schedule your most difficult materials when you are mentally at your best, and schedule the easier ones when you are mentally less efficient.

Drink Water Often
Drink plenty of water during a study session, especially when you feel sluggish. Caffeine may help you to stay awake, but it can increase your anxiety – use it in moderation.

Don’t Get Too Comfortable in Your Chair
Choose a chair that supports your back. It should be comfortable, but not too comfortable. Just like an athlete during a performance, your body should be relaxed, so that all your energy goes to where it matters – your brain.

Clear Your Desk of Everything You Don’t Need
Have everything you need on the desk. Put away what you do not need for the study session. Seeing reminders of other assessments or domestic bills may increase your anxiety and distract you.

Take Breaks Every Hour
It is important to take a break before you feel tired and lose your concentration completely. Regular breaks at least once an hour helps to sustain your concentration. If the work is not going too well and you have difficulties in concentrating, you may need a long break and go back to it later

Stretch During Your Breaks
Know and respect your concentration span which will vary from hour to hour and from day to day. When you sit for long periods, gravity draws the blood to the lower part of your body. When you take a break, take a few deep breaths and get more oxygen to your brain: try walking around and doing some light stretching for a few minutes. It will help to release tension in your body, and help your circulation.

Study at the Same Time, Same Place
Study at the same time and at the same place, devoted to study only. This helps you to associate the time and place with studying and concentrating. You will find that you get into a habit of studying as soon as you sit down.

Good food

During my trip in KL, i did enjoy some of the good food there. So let the pictures roll!

Snowflakes! It is so awesome that I visit the Subang Jaya branch then to Mid Valley and then to Pavillion and finally Sungei Wang. It's very addicting because once you have it, you will ask for another bowl. I like it served cold. (Yeah, considering we are... living in a tropical country)

I forgot the name but it is some kind of roti pratha with cheese on it. There are also some cheese powder scattered on the crunchy piece of bread and the sauce is actually the mild spicy curry sauce.

Sushi Zanmai at Sunway Pyramid! The sushi here served fresh and they are made directly upon putting orders. So I guess you can guarantee 100% customer satisfaction.

There are some more but I did not take pics at all as I go crazy looking at delicious food! They are shouting 'Eat me!".  And, the nasi lemak at Firefly actuall aren't that bad too. =D I am having study week now before the final exams come. I did try to study but my progress is very slow. Oh well, will post more next time. Toodles!

Sister's Graduation

Happy Graduation, Sis! Aww, time flies like sonic blow.

That's the graduation hall but we aren't allowed to enter. Only for parents. Rules and regulations here are pretty strict. So we gotta wait for many hours under the blazing sun and sweat.

And that is when all the students are coming out like ants from the building!
It is pretty a hot day. We board a mini bus to Kajang for photo taking sessions.

And we stumble into an old shop which sells traditional biscuits nearby the bus stop. The scene really reminds me of the olden days and my beloved grandma.
And she's my ah yee with the lovely graduation flowers. =)

Tomorrow's school

And there goes the end of my holidays. Done nothing besides doing the normal daily routines. Just yesterday I did manage to revise one chapter of my organic chemistry - Haloalkanes. Did not touch Maths. =(

Talked to Janice over the phone. I am glad she's having the best moments of her life there. Same goes to Crystal when I chat with her thru' Skype who's busy with assignments - very busy indeed. Grateful and peace. =)

Done with the mind map. I spent almost half my day drawing the mind map and it is only part of a chapter only. My learning progress is much more slower than others I wonder why. Now I starting to suspect whether I have dyslexia or not. LOL.

My puppy is sleeping underneath the table when I am blogging this. You see, he's the sweetheart of the family. Always craves for attention!

Currently listening to Adele's Someone Like You. I am in bliss!! Well, tomorrow will be the start of another school semester. Jeez, feel so heavy now. I guess every teenager's life will be like this. I just can't wait to graduate soon. Alrighty, toodles!

One hell of a ride

Before I start a post, just right yesterday, I used my mom's credit card to buy a pair of 'wolf slippers' from Amazon.com. The price is approx. RM 150 (49.90$) and you know what, the thing is mom doesn't even know a single thing. Sometimes, we just had to break the rules in a game.

Recently, I have been feeling quite down. The reasons? Unknown! Cause' I don't even know why am I feeling so down and emotional. The mixture of feelings inside me just make me feel so emo. You see, exams are coming and I honestly have to say that I did not revise at all in the holidays and skip my tuitions. I am slacking away to do my favourite things and rest. This, indeed. adds up to my 'emo-ness' when knowing the fact that the holidays are almost over. Just can't get enough of it. *sulk*

You see, I just have to keep telling myself to go through it with tenacity. I can't wait to finish with what I am doing now - STPM. I have to say STPM is one hell of a ride. I just hope not to waste another year in it and that is why, I keep telling myself no matter what happens and despite whether the outcome is good or bad, I have to do it with much efforts, at least. I do not want to disappoint myself and others too. The pressure is on, definitely. And when the pressure is on, I tend to shut down. It's really one hell of a ride.

The Beginning

Right, I do not know what am I doing here. Seriously, I have no idea at all. The sudden tension and energy inside just put me through this and here I am - to start a new blog. I started blogging at 14/15 years old and used to have a few blogs but their 'shelf life' were pretty short. So yeah.

The title says it all. A new beginning means the start of a new chapter of life. And that's how every blogger says it in their first post of blog I assume.

There is nothing much I can talk here. Perhaps you can ask me any questions and I will answer them. I will try to update the blog as much as I can. Cheers. =)

[EDIT] - 18th May 2014
The reason I write blogs because it is kinda therapeutic in way where it is a platform to venture out your thoughts freely without boundary. Ideas, feelings, thoughts, reviews, poems, quotes... you can say out literally everything, anything! It is also a form of way to train my writing skills and of course,  I am still learning and constantly improving my writing skills.

A little about me? Yeah, who else wants to know about me anyway?! But still, I am going to pen down a few introductions of myself (you know, that's what every famous blogger do, shh). I am Nick. My hometown friends tend to call me 'Tung' and my college friends tend to call me 'Nick'. I am just an ordinary fellow. Maybe he is a nobody today, but hopes to be somebody in the future.

Here's a few pointers about myself:

:: I hope to publish a book one day. I still don't know what the book is about, but it will be something special and helpful.

:: I am a life enthusiast. I constantly search for a balance in life though quotes, self-help books, inspiring pictures, famous authors etc. I like philosophy and teachings from Confucius, Oprah Winfrey and Maya Angelou because their words enrich ourselves spiritually.

:: I think I am someone who is between an extrovert and an introvert. I am quiet when I need to find time for myself alone but I also like to spend time talking out loud with friends and family.

:: I am a victim of acne skin. I used to have severe acne when I hit puberty (thank you, hormones) and I still have it but I started to recover as I grow older. Thus, I like to share my journey and thoughts on taking care of acne or acne-prone skin because mate, I feel you... having pimples on your face is just sad, but it will get better I believe.

:: On the other note, I used to weigh around 80 kilos when I was a kid. Slowly and patiently, I lose some of those kilos because a relative of mine had passed away due to illness which sparked me to take good care of myself. And of course, I feel the need to look good too. (who doesn't?!) I still retain some loose skin on my body and a chubby cheek and they always remind me that I used to be fat before.

:: I am kinda bad in sports. My most embarrassing moment is that I fell down in front of a huge crowd during a long jump... even before I start to 'jump'. (blame that loosened Nike shoes)

:: Finally, I am a law undergraduate. But I don't like politics. However any legal advice, if happened to be given here, comes with a disclaimer which means take it at your own risk. I am not liable for any loss you have suffered due to misapprehension of any legal statement containing in this blog.

:: I like listening and reading other people's story. I find it very inspiring and rewarding at the same time because everybody has a story to tell. Who knows, hanging out with a completely unknown stranger may give you a valuable lesson of life. Life is miraculous, anything could happen.

Congrats, you had made it this far and THANK YOU for reading my brief introductions. Feel free to e-mail me at tuung92@gmail.com
